Welcome to our Foundation Setting.

My name is Mrs Jones and I am the Foundation Stage Leader.

At Reid Street we have a fantastic Foundation Stage Team including two teachers, two teaching assistants and two classroom assistants.

Our vision at Reid Street is for every child to feel happy, safe and excited to become confident learners who enjoy coming to share their learning with us every day.

We strive to nurture trusting, open and caring relationships with every child and pride ourselves on the positive relationships with families.

We endeavour to ensure every child reaches their full potential in a warm and caring indoor and outdoor learning environment. This reflects our goal for every child to grow as competent, independent learners.

Our engaging, creative Foundation Stage area comprises a large, open-plan classroom and access to two inviting outside learning spaces. Here pupils are welcomed into the school for the first time from many different early years’ providers. Following a short induction, pupils settle into the routines of the school day, supported by highly experienced staff.

We are one of the Early Adopters Schools for the updated Early Years Framework.
