Today, the children learned about how the amount of daylight changes depending on the season. They learned that in the winter the days are shorter and that it can start getting dark when they leave school on an afternoon. They were introduced to reflective materials and thought about jobs that need high visibility clothing to keep them safe. These included: policemen and women, firefighters and construction workers. The children then designed their own reflective headbands to keep them safe on the way to and from school and tested them using a torch.
