Welcome to Key Stage 2.
My name is Mrs Hancock and I am Vice Principal and Manager of ‘The Juniors’ – Years 3 to 6.
I have a fantastic team of teachers (three per year group), TAs (at least one per year group) and Classroom Assistants.
We work hard to ensure a smooth transition from Key Stage 1 – it may only be a short walk along the corridor but we appreciate that the juniors can feel very different to the infants for our pupils and parents, particularly with our recent second floor extension.
With three teachers to each year group, we are able to organise pupils into sets for English and maths that offer small class sizes and highly differentiated work and support. Our curriculum is engaging and creative, providing links between subjects wherever possible and we challenge our pupils to make the most of all learning opportunities.
