The children were introduced to non-standard measure and used hand prints and foot prints to measure objects height and length. The children enjoyed throwing the javelins and using their footprints to measure who could throw the longest and shortest distances. We discussed how everyone has different sized feet and how this could be unfair. Later in the week, we began exploring standard measure and used metre sticks.
